Objective

At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
  • Explain the OSH-MS.
  • Plan OSH programs.

  • Be a competent SHO (upon passing the SHO examination and registration with DOSH).

Entry Requirement

  • Possess a minimum of SPM/SPMV/MCE or equivalent with at least a Grade Three Pass. A general certificate (SAP) or lower than Grade three will not be accepted
  • For SPM/SPMV after the year 2000, a minimum of 6C for Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mathematics AND a minimum 8E for Science/Physics/Chemistry/Biology AND Pass other 1 subject in 1 certificate/examination or combination; or
  • Possessed STPM (Science Stream)
  • Possessed Diploma/Degree endorsed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
  • Applicants must attach ONE (1) certified true copy of SPM/SPMV/MCE Certificate/STPM/ Diploma/Degree AND Identification Card/Passport

Certification

A certificate of attendance will be awarded to all participants at the end of the course. Participants are required to complete all quizzes and meet 176 Hours of attendance requirements to qualify to sit for the NIOSH SHO examination.
